1. What BRONCHOSTOP syrup is and what it is used for
Traditional herbal medicine to relieve throat irritation and help to excretion of a tough fluid in a cough associated with colds.
BRONCHOSTOP syrup is a traditional herbal medicinal product for use in specified indications based entirely on long-term use.
If after five days you do not feel better or your condition gets worse, you should seek medical attention.
2. What you need to know before you take BRONCHOSTOP syrup
Do not take BRONCHOSTOP syrup:
if you are allergic to the active substances, other Lamiaceae or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist or nurse before taking BRONSTOP syrup. In case of fever, shortness of breath or purulent phlegm, you should consult a doctor.
Use in children below 4 years of age is not recommended because of insufficient data on efficacy and safety, and due to the need for consultation with a doctor in this age group.
BRONCHOSTOP syrup should not be taken by alcoholics. To be taken into consideration in pregnant or lactating women, children and high-risk groups such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy.
Other medicines and BRONCHOSTOP syrup
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
No interactions with other medicines are known.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Due to the lack of sufficient data and the alcohol content, use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended. There are no data on effects on fertility.
Driving and using machines
No studies on the effects on the ability to drive and use machines have been performed.
Important information about some of the ingredients of BRONCHOSTOP syrup
Information for diabetics: 5 ml contains 1.75 g sugars corresponding to about 0.15 carbohydrate units (BE). To be taken into consideration in patients with diabetes.
Alcohol: This medicinal product contains approximately 285 mg of alcohol per 5 ml. The alcoholic strength of the individual dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age corresponds to 14.36 ml of beer and 5.98 ml of wine. The alcoholic strength of the individual dose for children aged 4 to 12 corresponds to 7.18 ml of beer and 2.99 ml of wine (see "Warnings and Precautions").
Preservatives: BRONCHOSTOP syrup contains the preservatives methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate. They may cause allergic reactions (may be delayed) (see "Do not take BRONCHOSTOP syrup").
3. How to take BRONCHOSTOP Syrup
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:
10 ml BRONCHOSTOP syrup every 3 hours to 6 times a day (maximum daily dose is up to 60 ml).
Children aged 4 to 12 years:
5 ml BRONCHOSTOP syrup every 3 hours to 6 times a day (maximum daily dose is up to 30 ml).
Children under 4 years of age:
Use in children under 4 years of age is not recommended due to lack of data and consultation with a doctor.
Method of administration
For oral use.
Take BRONCHOSTOP syrup undiluted by pouring the dose given above into the supplied measuring cup with a range of 2.5 ml to 20 ml.
If necessary, BRONCHOSTOP syrup can be taken in water or warm tea.
Duration of administration
Self-medication with BRONCHOSTOP syrup should be limited to 5 days. If you have no apparent improvement before, you should seek medical attention as you may have a more serious illness.
If you take more BRONCHOSTOP syrup than
you should If you take too much of this medicine, the symptoms of known side effects may turn out to be more intense. In this case, tell your doctor. He can take action if necessary.
If you forget to take BRONCHOSTOP syrup
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If any of the side effects gets serious, tell your doctor or pharmacist. This includes all possible side effects not listed in this leaflet.
Allergic reactions as well as stomach upsets have been observed when using medicinal products containing thyme. The incidence of occurrence is not known.

5. How to store BRONCHOSTOP syrup
Store below 25 ° C.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Keep the bottle in the outer carton in order to protect from light.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label and carton after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Close the bottle tightly after use. After opening, use up to 4 weeks.
Do not dispose of medicines in the sewage system or in the household waste container. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use. These measures will help to protect the environment.
6. Contents of the pack and other information
What BRONCHOSTOP syrup contains The
active substances are:
5 ml (approximately 5.7 g) of syrup containing:
0,77 g Thymus vulg. / Thymus zyg. Liquid extract of stalks (1: 2-2,5) Extract: Ammonia 10% (w / w) Aqueous solution: Glycerol 85% w): 90% ethanol (v / v): water ratio 1: 20: 70: 109);
0.66 g Althaea off., Liquid extract of roots ((1:20), extracting agent: water).
The other ingredients are: concentrated raspberry juice, ascorbic acid, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, ethanol (approximately 5% w / w), sucrose, purified water.
What BRONCHOSTOP syrup looks like and what it contains
BRONCHOSTOP syrup is a brownish-red clear or slightly cloudy solution with flavor and taste of thyme and raspberry. BRONCHOSTOP syrup is available in dark glass bottles with original sealed 150 ml screw caps. The enclosed measuring cup with a graduation of 2.5 ml to 20 ml facilitates accurate measurement of the recommended amount.
For medicinal products containing natural ingredients such as BRONCHOSTOP syrup, sludge or deposits may appear on the inside of the cap. This does not affect the efficacy or quality of the medicinal product.
